Now having traveled to five countries, I can confidently say that I have tried some pretty unique cuisine and good eats. So, I decided to document my wide eyed, "Oh my God this is amazing" moments with food!

#1. That's Amore

Gnocchi with Meatsauce and Butter/Sage

Fresh from the motherland- Venice, Italy

Little potato pasta dumplings from heaven served with the house cabernet. This is number one not only because of the food and delicious wine, but because of the company I enjoyed it with. I have never laughed so much during a meal with two people, and it is not every day you find friends who will sit at table with you for 3 hours. Good food, good company, what else could you ask for?

#2 My Sweet Tooth's best friend

Vanilla cake with a Chocoalte ganache glaze, and a Whipped Vanilla topping piled high with Fresh Strawberries and Raspberries- Karlslunde, Denmark

Made from scratch by the one and only Thilde Bunch, the daughter of the Danish family who has adopted me for the semester. Being a fellow baker and cake lover, this cake spoke to my soul and placed a huge smile on my face. It quickly became one of the best cakes that I have ever seen and tasted. Thank you, Thilde!

Japanese Ocra Salad with fresh salmon, and fresh Sushi/Sashimi with salmon, tuna, avocado, etc...

Money pays for a good meal. Although it was outrageously pricey, the seafood and vegetables were so fresh. You can say that I ate my fill...

#5 ALL HAIL SCHNITZEL

Shnitzel- pounded piece of butterflied pork deep fried- Lubeck, Germany.

And all this time I thought "Schnitzel" was a sausage...I had no idea what this was when it came out of the kitchen, but I cannot complain.
